Library Vision Statement:

Our vision is to meet the needs of our patrons by the continuous updating of our library holdings, by improving our technological resources with new computers and wireless access and by offering cooperative summer reading and after school programming for children and teens. Our outreach efforts include Story Time on Tuesdays, daycare book tubs for 3 area providers and book tubs for Evan's Circle residents. Outreach programs are made possible by grant funding from the Library Services and Technology Act administered by the state library, matching funds in our existing budget, and donated funds raised by the Friends of the Library and Kiwanis.

Meet Our Staff

New Programs are made possible by LSTA grants awarded by the Missouri State Library and the ongoing support of the Friends of the Library. In the past few years, the library has won several grants totaling over $60,000. Funds were used for collection development, automation and new computers, five full summer reading programs, and two seasons of Spotlight on Literacy. Community outreach to area children is a primary goal for the library as it improves literacy in the county.
