The Mound City Public Library Summer Reading Program

is a fun way to include reading and related activities in summer family time.  It helps children maintain and improve reading skills.

May 30 - “Opening Ceremonies” - Featuring Kansas City Royals Mascot, Sluggerr at the State Theater

June 6 - “Build It Better With Balloons Show”- Featuring balloon artist Sammy J at the Library

June 13- “Build a Better World Preserving Nature” Ranger Veronica from the Squaw Creek Refuge will give a presentation and workshop on Owls at the Library

June 20 - “Build a Better  World with Music” - Presentation and hands-on activities by  Becky Reinig  at the Library

June 27-  “Legos and Robotics”- Presentation and Workshop by Joy Wheeler’s Lego and Robotics Club at the library

July 11- “Build a Better World through Art”- Under the guidance of Annie Schmerber, kids will learn about art and also make personalized stepping stones to donate to one of Mound City’s parks

July 18-  “The Finale”- Back by popular demand, Jugglers Jay and Leslie with perform and help with closing activities at the State Theater
